Alex's practice focuses on general counsel services, with an emphasis on equity and debt financings, mergers and acquisitions, corporate formations, joint ventures, corporate governance and business counseling, licensing and commercial agreements, public offerings, international transactions, SEC periodic reporting and other general corporate representation. Alex has represented a wide variety of companies ranging from start-ups to mature public companies in various industries including technology, retail and entertainment.

Prior to joining Fortis General Counsel, Alex practiced law in the Santa Monica offices of a national law firm representing venture capital and private equity firms, commercial and investment banks and acting as general outside counsel to companies at all stages of development. Alex has also worked in the Los Angeles offices of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, and in the Silicon Valley offices of Brobeck Phleger & Harrison LLP.

Alex holds a JD from UCLA School of Law, where he graduated with honors, and he acted as the Editor-in-Chief of the Pacific Basin Law Journal. He also holds an undergraduate degree in Political Science from UC Berkeley. He is a member of the State Bar of California.
