Joyce's practice focuses on outsourced general counsel services, with an emphasis on the representation of emerging growth technology companies, mergers and acquisitions, and venture capital financings. She represents a variety of clients ranging from software companies, angel and seed investors, and consulting services companies.

Prior to joining Fortis General Counsel, Joyce practiced law in the Palo Alto office of Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP where she worked on venture capital financings and merger and acquisition transactions involving U.S. and Korean companies. Joyce was also a member of the capital markets group in the New York office of Shearman & Sterling LLP where she worked on securities regulation issues, exchange offers, and debt and equity offerings ranging in value from $150 million to $1.35 billion.
